Export your Tally ledger
From Tally Prime, run Export → Masters → All Masters in XML, then Export → Day Book and Sales Vouchers in CSV for the last 12 months. Save both files locally.
Map your chart of accounts
Open Lekhita → Settings → Accounting and click Import from Tally. Lekhita detects ledger groups (sales, purchase, GST input / output, expenses) and proposes a mapping. Adjust anything that doesn't match and save.
Upload to Lekhita
Drop the masters XML and the day-book CSV into the importer. The system creates customers, vendors, items, and historical transactions. A typical 12-month import for one store takes 3-7 minutes.
Verify GSTIN linkage
Lekhita shows a verification checklist — your business GSTIN, branch GSTINs, place-of-supply on each invoice, HSN / SAC codes on top items. Resolve every red row before you go live.
Run parallel for one billing cycle
We strongly recommend running Tally and Lekhita side by side for one calendar month. At month-end, compare GSTR-1 totals between the two systems. Once the numbers tie, retire Tally.
