Business, written down

Lekhita comes from lekh — writing. Every shopkeeper in India already knows the idea: the bahi-khata, the account book opened fresh each Diwali, where the business is written down daily in the owner's own hand. Bills, udhaar, bookings, who came, who owes.

Lekhita is that book, on the phone you already own. Not an “enterprise commerce platform” — a place where your business gets written down, correctly, every day.

The shops we build for are the shops on our own streets: kirana stores, salons, tuition classes, tailors, and the photographers, decorators and caterers who run India's weddings. Most of them run entirely on memory, paper, and WhatsApp — and most business software is priced, worded, and designed for someone else entirely.

So Lekhita makes different default choices: it works in Hindi, bills without a GSTIN until you need one, takes 0% commission, treats WhatsApp as the way bills and reminders actually move, and runs on an ordinary Android phone. When paid plans arrive, they will be flat and honest — never a cut of your sales.

Lekhita is in early access with a small group of real merchants. We could pad this site with stock photos and logo walls — plenty of sites do. We would rather earn the real ones. When our early merchants are ready to be quoted, you will see their names here; until then, the absence of logos is the trust signal. The same policy applies across the site: no store badge for a platform you cannot download today, no feature page for a feature that does not exist.

Tanvrit Pvt. Ltd. builds Lekhita and its sibling products. Registered office: 168 Plot No 945, Gayatri Mandir se Purab, New Ariya, Sasaram, Bihar 821115, India.
